Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · Last Updated: January 1, 2026

Commercial Vehicle Lawyer, PLLC ("CVL") is committed to making our website accessible to the broadest possible audience, including users with disabilities. We work to meet or exceed the standards set by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we believe accessible design supports our duty as advocates for people who have been seriously injured.

1. Our Commitment

We recognize that accessibility is not a one-time project but an ongoing effort. We continually evaluate the Site against current best practices and update components, content, and behavior to reduce barriers for users who rely on assistive technologies.

2. Features We Have Implemented

Across the website, we have worked to provide:

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and lists, allowing screen readers to navigate content predictably
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements, including the navbar, dropdown menus, FAQ accordions, filter buttons, and form controls
  • Visible focus indicators on links and buttons
  • ARIA labels and roles on interactive components such as the hamburger menu, sticky bar, FAQ accordions, and form fields
  • Alt text on meaningful images and decorative images marked as such for assistive technologies
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and background, evaluated against the WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Responsive layout that reflows cleanly on mobile, tablet, and desktop, including up to 200% browser zoom
  • Clear, plain-language content in case explanations and legal information, with technical terms defined in context
  • No content that auto-plays, autorefreshes, or relies on motion to convey meaning

3. Conformance Status

This website is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We test pages with automated accessibility tooling and with manual review using both visual and keyboard-only navigation. The most recent full audit was performed on the date listed at the top of this page.

4. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on the website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Some embedded third-party content (such as map widgets or live chat) may not meet our internal accessibility standards. We are working with vendors to address this.
  • Older PDF documents in our archive may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Newer PDFs are produced with accessibility tagging.

We work to address known issues as quickly as reasonably possible.

5. Browser & Assistive Technology Support

The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile. We test with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), and TalkBack (Android). If you are using an older browser or assistive technology and experience problems, please reach out using the contact information below.

6. Requesting Accommodations

If you need a specific accommodation to access information about your case or to communicate with our firm, please let us know. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations including, where appropriate:

  • Documents in large print, plain text, or accessible PDF format
  • Communication via TTY, video relay, or written correspondence
  • In-person meetings at accessible locations
  • Translation or interpretation services

7. Feedback & Reporting Issues

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us using the details below and let us know:

  • The web address (URL) where you encountered the issue
  • A description of the problem
  • The browser, operating system, and assistive technology you were using, if applicable
