Legal Notices
Disclaimer & Attorney Advertising
This website is presented by Commercial Vehicle Lawyer, PLLC ("CVL"). It is intended to provide general information about the firm and the legal topics on which we work. The notices below are required by state bar advertising rules and other applicable law.
1. Attorney Advertising
This website is attorney advertising. The information you see here is intended to help potential clients learn about our firm and services. It is not a substitute for legal advice from a licensed attorney who is familiar with the facts of your matter.
2. Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice. Reading content on the Site, downloading materials, or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only after a written engagement agreement is signed by both you and CVL.
3. Prior Results Do Not Guarantee Future Outcomes
Settlement amounts, jury verdicts, and case results described on this website refer to past matters. Each case turns on its own facts, evidence, applicable law, jurisdiction, judge, and jury. Prior results do not guarantee, warrant, or predict the outcome of any current or future case. Verdicts and settlements listed represent gross recovery before deduction of attorney fees, case costs, liens, and other expenses.
4. Testimonials
Client testimonials and reviews reflect the personal experience of the individual client. They are not a guarantee, warranty, or prediction regarding the outcome of any future legal matter. Names and identifying details have been changed in some cases to protect client privacy. No testimonials reflect financial compensation in exchange for the statement.
5. Jurisdictions & Bar Admissions
CVL attorneys are licensed to practice law in the following jurisdictions:
- Florida (state and federal courts)
- Georgia (state and federal courts)
- Texas
- New York
- Illinois
CVL also represents clients in federal proceedings nationwide, including FMCSA matters, where authorized. In matters arising outside our admitted jurisdictions, we may associate with local counsel licensed in that state. Submitting a case inquiry from a jurisdiction in which we are not admitted does not establish a relationship and does not constitute the practice of law in that jurisdiction.
6. Hiring an Attorney Is an Important Decision
The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements. Before deciding to hire any law firm, we encourage you to ask questions about qualifications, experience, fee structures, and references.
7. Fees & Costs
CVL accepts most truck, bus, delivery vehicle, and commercial fleet cases on a contingency-fee basis. This means:
- You pay no attorney fees up front.
- You pay no attorney fees if we do not recover compensation for you.
- If we recover compensation, our fees are a percentage of the recovery, agreed in writing before representation begins.
- Costs and expenses associated with a case (such as filing fees, expert witnesses, deposition costs, and medical records) may be advanced by the firm and deducted from any recovery, as specified in the written engagement agreement.
The phrase "no fee unless we win" refers to attorney fees only and is not a guarantee of recovery or of any specific outcome.
8. Free Case Evaluation
Initial case evaluations are offered without obligation and at no cost. Choosing to have an initial conversation with CVL does not commit you to retaining the firm, and it does not by itself establish an attorney-client relationship.
9. Confidentiality of Submissions
Communications submitted through the website or by unsolicited email are not protected by the attorney-client privilege until a written engagement is in place. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information before the firm confirms representation in writing.
